Well, we have indeed woken up to Major Hurricane Milton in the Atlantic as rapid intensification is ongoing. It may make a brief jog up to Category 5 before it’s all said and done. While it won’t hit FL as a Cat 5, it’ll still be a powerful hurricane with significant surge potential there.
