Nine/Imelda will still influence our weather next week, but impacts will be more indirect. We can still expect some bouts of heavy rain Monday & Tuesday, gusty NE winds that will drive salt water flooding at times of high tide, and rough marine conditions.

Peripheral impacts from Tropical Depression Nine/future Imelda should bring some rain, gusty winds, and rough marine conditions next week.
Confidence improving in the forecast: Nearly unanimous model agreement for a stall-out-to-sea scenario taking place off the Florida coast. Direct impacts from Nine/future Imelda are highly unlikely, and thank goodness for that!
Some heavy rain possible Monday and Tuesday as a feed of moisture around Imelda interacts with a stalled coastal front; amounts upwards of 2-3” possible (a downward trend).
Gusty wind, erosion, rough surf, and rip currents will persist at the coast; minor to moderate salt water flooding possible with times of high tide next week.
