Hello, world. Welcome to the brand new Charleston Weather Blog, built on a so-fresh-and-so-clean installation of WordPress which is now underlying the Charleston Weather site.

In 2019, I’m aiming to throw it back, so to speak, to an era in which we could complete thoughts longer than 140 or 280 characters. The weather is complex, it is fascinating, and a tweet or two (or more) just cannot do it justice. Thus, the new blog.

Here, you will find what I intend to be an expanded offering from what I have done on Medium the last few years. Not only will I write about big events, but also interesting weather facts and happenings along the way.

One important point: Twitter‘s not going away. 🙂 You’ll continue to find play-by-play there, though I expect to introduce more live-blogging here as 2019 goes on. Instagram will continue as well, and while Facebook is decidedly not my favorite, I’m there too.

The roadmap for this site in 2019 is aggressive and rather exciting as @chswx continues into the next decade. I’m glad to have you along for the adventure.
