Friday & the weekend: Showery bookends to a warm and sunny Saturday
We’ll see some showers at times over the next few days, but there’s going to be ample amounts of good weather, too — crucial for this High Water Festival weekend.
Scattered showers will be around for much of Friday as a frontal system moves on by during the day. A thunderstorm or two can’t be totally discounted, either, but no severe weather is expected. We’ll get off to a muggy start in the mid-60s before highs head into the low 80s. No washout here — just off and on showers.
Saturday is the pick day of the weekend as we sit in-between storm systems. Mostly sunny skies will allow temperatures to head into the mid-80s — festival goers will want water and sunscreen, for sure. Rain-free conditions should persist into the first part of Sunday before scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm return to the forecast in the afternoon ahead of another cold front. Highs once again on Sunday will top out in the low to mid-80s.
Behind the front lie several days of quiet and overall pleasant weather. Cooler and drier air will knock temperatures down to the mid-70s on Monday before heading close to 80° again on Tuesday under increasingly sunny skies. Rain-free conditions are currently forecast through next Thursday.
