Rest of the work week: Warmer-than-normal temperatures prevail
Warmer-than-normal temperatures will be the headline for the rest of the work week as high pressure ridges in a bit aloft. We’re still on track to see our first 70°+ reading of 2025 on Friday, too.
Wednesday looks rather excellent — after we start the day with a low around 40°, we’ll warm to the upper 60s in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies. The only fly in the ointment may be some gusty winds ahead of a dry cold front that will get through overnight, but otherwise, a great day (of weather, anyway).
Thursday will run a couple degrees cooler in the afternoon in the wake of the front, but it’ll still be a few degrees above normal as highs top out in the mid-60s. We’ll start to see cloud cover pick up late, but expect a mostly sunny day otherwise.
Cloud cover continues to tick up Friday ahead of the next cold front, though any rain should hold off until late. Temperatures will run several degrees warmer than they did on Thursday, with lows around 50° and highs peaking in the low 70s. It’ll be a bit of a breezy day as southerly winds pick up ahead of the front, but otherwise nothing too crazy to write home about.
Weekend preview: Rain ends early Saturday, with good weather thereafter
Better news for the weekend, too: it looks like most of the rain falls overnight Friday into Saturday morning, clearing the area by midday and yielding a rather nice afternoon with mid-60s highs. We’ll have a solid day of weather on Sunday, too, with lows in the mid-40s and highs in the mid-60s once again under partly cloudy skies.
