Weekend forecast: Remaining hot with low storm chances

Hot weather continues as we head into the weekend with only a slight chance at some thunderstorm-induced relief.
Saturday starts very warm once again, with lows in the low-to-mid-70s expected after a quiet night. Temperatures then head back into the mid-90s in the afternoon under partly cloudy skies. We’ll be keeping an eye on storms to the west later in the day that’ll be moving toward the Lowcountry, though it doesn’t look like they will have the juice to survive this far to the east. Still, there’s a slight chance of some precipitation late, so we’ll keep an eye on this for possible changes.
Sunday’s a similar story, though with a front draped just to our north we’ll have a bit of an uptick in cloud cover. Temperatures once again start in the low 70s, and we’ll warm back to the low 90s (though a couple clicks cooler thanks to the cloud cover). Once again, we’ll want to monitor conditions to the west as a thunderstorm complex heads coastward; whether it ends up this far to the north currently is in question, but with the nearby front we may also see a few storms pop along and ahead of the seabreeze.
Barring a stray storm through Monday, it looks like the next best chance for showers and thunderstorms will arrive on Wednesday with a front that will send the second half of next week back to more comfortable Spring-like conditions.
