The week ahead: Unseasonably warm temperatures develop with little rain in sight

/ November 16, 2025 at 11:19 PM

After a cold front brings a brief cooldown to the area on Monday, temperatures return to the 70s on Tuesday before heading well above normal for the balance of the week ahead with little rain in sight.

We at least start the week feeling a little more like November in the wake of a front moving by Sunday evening/early Monday morning. Temperatures Monday start in the mid-40s and will warm to the mid-to-upper 60s, right at if not a hair below normal for mid-November. Skies will continue to run primarily sunny, with just a few clouds from time to time. We’ll start to see a little moderation of the airmass on Tuesday, with temperatures climbing to the low 70s after another start in the mid-40s, once again with plenty of sunshine.

A ridge aloft then nudges into the area from the southwest starting Wednesday as surface high pressure slips offshore, bringing in a warmer southwest flow and allowing temperatures to warm well into the 70s each afternoon through Saturday. It’s not out of the question that we could see some threats to high temperature records later this week as we flirt with 80°+ each afternoon. We’ll still see plenty of sunshine, though cloud cover becomes more of a factor for the latter part of the work week.

The next (albeit tiny) rain chance appears to be later Saturday into Sunday morning with a few showers possibly moving by in association with the next front. At this range, there’s always plenty of details to work out as far as timing and intensity of any showers (much less if those showers even occur), so stay tuned to forecast updates. However, the expectation is for predominantly warm and dry conditions to continue for the foreseeable future.
