Friday & the weekend: Warm weather continues; stray shower possible Sunday

Our stretch of early-March warmth continues for Friday and the weekend — and, realistically, well into next week — as stacked high pressure remains in place.
After Thursday marked the second 80°+ day of the year, we’ll warm back into the upper 70s to near 80° on Friday after potentially another bout with dense fog in the morning. Any fog should erode by 9am, and from there temperatures will warm under partly cloudy skies. High-resolution guidance has been pinging on the possibility of a stray shower in the afternoon somewhere inland, but most of us should get the day in without incident (weather-wise, anyway).
Warm and quiet weather continues into the weekend as high pressure continues to hold firm. Temperatures will continue to trend subtly upward, with 60s in the morning and upper 70s to low 80s each afternoon. The chance for a stray shower or two in the afternoon and evening increases a bit Sunday as a front approaches the area, though it will dissipate before it can get through, keeping the unseasonable warmth in place well into next week before another front approaches the area Thursday.
