Friday & the weekend: Record highs Friday, then turning cooler

Another very warm day is on tap for Friday, with a daily high temperature record within reach once again ahead of a cold front. Temperatures will start around 60°, warming to the upper 80s in the afternoon before the seabreeze clears the area. The record high of 87° is absolutely in jeopardy, and some spots inland could get close to 90° once again.
A front approaching from the north will make for a much cooler and windier Saturday, though. The front will get through Saturday morning, shifting winds around to the north and northeast, with gusts 20-30+ MPH by daybreak. This combined with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 50s will make for a bit of a brisk Bridge Run with a stiff crosswind, so keep that in mind if you are racing Saturday morning. It’ll start out mostly cloudy, too, but the sun will gradually take over as the day goes on, with mostly sunny skies expected by evening as temperatures head to the mid-to-upper 60s.
A comfortable day is on tap for Sunday; crisp lows in the mid-40s will warm to about 70° in the afternoon under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Winds will turn a bit onshore and calm down a bit, but we’ll still see a decent breeze especially near the coast.
