Weekend forecast: Quiet Saturday, showers return with a front Sunday

Easter weekend will be split down the middle (weather-wise, anyway); while Saturday looks quiet and warm across the area, Sunday will turn out a little more unsettled especially as we get later in the day.
High pressure remains the dominant weather features at the surface and aloft one more day on Saturday. We’ll stay warmer than normal for early April as lows in the low 60s warm to the low 80s in the afternoon under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. There’s a risk for a stray shower further inland, but unlike Friday’s scattering of showers, coverage should be much more limited.
A front approaches the area on Easter Sunday. We start the day on the quiet side, but shower and even thunderstorm chances tick up as we get further into the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will head to the low 80s one more time, but from here, expect a cooldown toward more normal temperatures for this part of April for much of next week.
