Tuesday: Warm temperatures and sunshine continue

/ November 6, 2023 at 9:47 PM

No concerns for Tuesday’s weather as we head to the polls for various local elections — not even any tidal flooding to speak of. We’ll start the day with a light jacket and shed it by midday as highs head to around 80° in the afternoon. Unfettered sunshine will be the rule with a light west to southwest breeze throughout the day.

Rest of the work week: Above-normal temperatures continue through Friday

Above-normal temperatures will continue for the rest of the work week, though increasing cloud cover as we head toward Friday portends change for the weekend. In the meantime, though, we’ll continue to start the day in the mid-to-upper 50s (warmest on Friday) with highs topping out in the low 80s each afternoon. We’ll see dewpoints climb into the mid-to-upper 50s ahead of a front that will approach the area later Friday and should get through on Saturday. There’s a small chance of a shower on Friday evening, but right now the best chance for any showers with the front — slight as it is — looks to be early Saturday. As high pressure wedges in from the northeast, temperatures will cool and slight shower chances will re-enter the forecast for Sunday and Monday.
