Thursday: Another comfortable day, a few more clouds

Another nice day lies ahead on Thursday, with a nice start in the upper 60s warming to the mid-80s in the afternoon. We should see a little uptick in cloud cover with a little higher-dewpoint air infiltrating in, but the forecast is largely rain-free. So, it’ll be another nice day to get out and about if you’ve got some time.
Friday & Labor Day weekend: Unsettled weather returns

Unfortunately, showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast as we head into Friday and the rest of the Labor Day weekend. Waves of low pressure along a stalled front well to the south will help bring some moisture back into the area, with off and on shower and storm chances ticking up especially starting Saturday. A few spots could see some heavy rain, but right now, a repeat of last weekend is thankfully not expected. Temperatures will continue to run below normal, though, with highs peaking in the mid-80s Friday through Sunday, and turning even a touch cooler on Monday. It won’t rain all the time, but be ready to move outdoor activities indoors in case storms threaten.
